The Role

We’re looking for a hands-on Social Media optimizer who loves to create exciting content, experiment with new ideas, and use data to inform strategy. You’ll have a bias for action, and have a knack for creating effective content at the right time, in the right place. We currently have platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, and we’re looking for a social media guru to maximize their potential.

What You Will Do

  • Manage, ideate, and plan content across all of VI’s social media channels

  • Work closely with the Global Head of Growth Marketing and the Content Marketing Manager to optimize our social media strategy

  • Plan and curate content that drives our brand's mission and engages our GenZ audience through a variety of mediums

  • Work closely with the team’s marketing associates and graphic designer to ensure we are developing content that engages our audiences

  • Track, report, and analyze our social media activities to inform strategy and get results

  • Regularly monitor social media trends and stay up to date with new features

  • Use social listening tools to monitor the response to the brand in the market and be quick to action to optimize trends for our brand

  • Monitor competitor activities and content creation to make sure we stay ahead of the competition

  • Regularly test and experiment with new content ideas and campaigns to learn what we are doing right/wrong

Job requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience working in social media strategy

  • Experience planning and executing campaigns for organic social media with demonstrable results, and a keen interest in paid media campaigns

  • Experience working in an early startup environment and/or for an agency developing campaigns for the 18- to 25-year-old audience

  • Experience with a CMS like Hootsuite, CoSchedule, Buffer, Sprout Social etc, and implementing new tools to increase efficiency

  • You’re biased towards action and employ creative thinking to get things done. You love to multi-task, come up with new ideas, and have a proactive planning mindset.

  • You have proficient copywriting and grammar skills

  • You have a growth mindset and embrace figuring things out

  • You prioritize ruthlessly and stay disciplined with the important work
