We are Virtual Internships, an EdTech startup on a mission to bridge the gap between education and the workplace by making internships accessible to all.

Over the last four years, we’ve established partnerships with 12,000+ companies, 100+ universities, and supported thousands of students and graduates in becoming more employable via our online work experience product.

We are a team of 130+ across 25+ countries, and recently secured our Series A funding from investors such as Hambro Perks, Sequoia Capital, Kaplan, Arsenal Growth, and Ascend Vietnam Ventures who have collectively guided the likes of Google, Linkedin, WhatsApp, Canva, Udemy, and Applyboard.

Your Role

With our recent fundraise, we are now looking for a transformational sales leader to join our leadership team to help us capitalize on the huge global potential of our product. 

Your Impact

  • Ensure 3x ARR growth over 12-24  months

  • Develop the B2B sales/revenue function for Universities, Foundations, Corporates, Pathway Providers and Government Initiatives. Current team circa 25, projected to hire 5-10 over 6 months 

  • Work directly alongside the CEO and investors to evolve the go-to-market strategy & best practices

  • Oversee Sales Operations lead to ensure optimized and repeatable sales processes and playbooks

  • Own sales incentives and compensation

  • Help team members close large & strategic deals

  • Stay well-connected with B2B customers to ensure broad market needs are being incorporated into the product development and enhancement cycle

Your Attributes

  • You’ve “seen the movie before” - you know what it takes to build a world-class sales org that can take a company to a new level

  • You will be a passionate revenue generator, builder and straight up hustler.

  • You’re strategic and tactical - you’ll figure out the who , the why, and the hows

  • You’re “tech-enabled” - you know enough to create your own dashboards in the CRM, and know what sales tech stack to use and when


Your Experience

  • Sales leadership experience at a B2B Tech scale-up 

  • Track record of growing ARR from USD1-5m to USD15m+ 


You Stand Out From The Crowd If...

  • You have sales leadership experience at a Series A or Series B startup and/or have been a founder of a business that generated >$5m ARR

  • You have experience selling into the higher ed industry, most notably in the US.
